Ten interesting facts about Muddy Waters:

1.In 1932 Muddy Waters sells his horse to buy himself a guitar, a Stella Acoustic, for $2.50 out of a catalog.
2. In 1941 Muddy Waters recorded with Alan Lomax for the Libary of Congress.
3.1943 Muddy Waters seeks fam and fortune as a blues musician. He travels on a train to Chicago Illinois.
4.In 1971 Muddy Waters albun "They Call me Muddy Waters" won him a grammy ("Best Ethnic or Traditional Recording")
5.1978 Muddy Waters performs at the White House for President Jimmy Carter and his staff.
6. Muddy waters real name is McKinley Morganfield. He arned his nickname, "Muddy Waters" from his grandfather. His grandfather called him this because as a little boy McKinley loved to play in the water.
7. Muddy Waters soon became know for his famous driving slide guitar technique and his dark expressive voice.
8. Muddy Waters had won 8 Grammy awards and had gotten 5 Grammy nominations. He also got 5 W.C Handy Blues awards, and 2 Down Beat Magazine awards.
9. Muddy Waters released approximately sixty singles, sixteen of which made the charts
10. 1983 Muddy Waters dies in his sleep of Lung Cancer.


The reason I picked this song, is because I like that "The Rolling Stones" acually got their name from this song. I also like the way he bends the notes.
