The beatles became a smash becuse they were charming and charasmatic. Girls loved how their music had harmonies and melodies. They were influenced by Folk and R&B music. There songs are catchy fun and are easy to dance too.

2. Name 3 facts about Elvis. (3)
Elvis had a unique dance with his hips, he sung gospel, country and R&B. His first rock song was "That's alright, Mamma"

3. What is considered the most important decade for Rock and Roll? Why? (2)
1960's because it was the rise of Black Music. One of the first kinds of Black Music that begins to generate action is called Chicago Blues.

4. What were the Black people into then? Describe the type of music. (2)
They were into music that came up from something called Soul. Soul is a mix of gospel and dance R&B.

5. What was one of he most important developments in music in the 80's? How?(2)
MTV, once people started watching music videos the industry started pushing looks, style and image more than music and lyrics.

6. Describe Adult Oriented Rock.(4)
Adult Oriented Rock is boring, soft, "nice", too gentle for young people. Bands in the 70's started hitting this market. They were all tired of Disco dancing.

Disco is black power and the music of that movement. People wore bell bottoms, polyester suits, brown and orange fashion, and had brutal hair. Gay culture became more open. Music becomes HUGE business.

Disco sound is strings in a big sweeping orchestra sound, one beat. Simple melodies, repetitive, and easy to dance too.

9. What were the COOL kids listening to in the early 60's? Why? (2)
They were listening to folk music because it was honest and real.

Post Punk is weird, dark, gloomy, sad and interesting music with alot of style. 2 bands would be "Duran Duran" and "U2".

I like the shows I choose because most of them have problems I can relate to, like when the Tyra Bank's show talks about relationships and beauty tips. I also like the shows because there funny and I can at the end of a hard school day just relax and have some fun.

The reason I picked this song, is because I like that "The Rolling Stones" acually got their name from this song. I also like the way he bends the notes.

5 reasons why this ad is a good ad are because it has its slogan on it “D&G”, this is a good reason because anyone who knows Dolce and Gabbana know that there slogan is D&G. Another reason why this is a good ad is because it has an image that fills the whole page, this image really hits the eye and makes the people believe that this is a seductive product. Another reason is the coloring and layout. They made sure that all their people were fairly tanned in the photo to make it look more appealing, they also made sure with the layout that there was a girl and boy close to each other to get the seductiveness out of it. A fourth reason would be the information it is giving out. The ad is trying to tell the audience that if you wear this perfume you will have hot looking guys on you. The last reason this ad is good is because of the product itself, in this ad the product is not the main focal point on the page.

I think the target audience of this ad would be teenagers to early 30’s. I think this because Dolce and Gabbana perfume is a product that would interests people who are trying to find a man who is attracted to them sexually. This is protruded in the ad itself; it shows 3 men and 3 women naked close to each other, looking like their sexually attracted to one another.

The kinds of manipulation that are at work in the ad are weasel words. It uses the word “new” because its trying to get you to buy the product because its new. Another manipulation is association, although I don’t think any of these people are famous, they do use these people because there good looking, they attract the audience into looking at the ad more.
